Elegant Lace Doily Pattern

Materials:

• Crochet Thread Size 10 in White
• Crochet Hook Size 1.75 mm
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Gauge:

Gauge is not critical for this project.

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)
• sp: space

Instructions:

Round 1:

1. Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form a ring.
2. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc in ring, sl st in top of ch-3 to join. (16 dc)

Round 2:

1. Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch-1), dc in same st, *ch 1, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in same st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in third ch of beginning ch-4. (16 dc, 16 ch-1 sp)

Round 3:

1. Sl st into next ch-1 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp; repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of ch-3.

Round 4-12:

1. Continue increasing by ch 2 spaces and 3 dc clusters in each ch space. Adjust pattern to maintain equal distribution of stitches.

Round 13:

1. Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sc between 3 dc clusters; repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sc.

Finishing:

1. Fasten off and weave in ends using tapestry needle.
2. Block doily to shape.
