What Does Error Communication loss Mean?

A Bryant Evolution system is not a thermostat with switched wires. The control, the indoor unit, and the outdoor unit exchange data over a shared bus, and losing that conversation stops coordinated operation even when every individual component is healthy. A communication message therefore points at the path between devices before it points at any device. A Bryant system with a conventional thermostat and individually switched conductors does not behave this way, and the Carrier equivalent of the same architecture carries its own message set. Confirm you have a communicating control before applying it.
